In a nutshell
Are you an Investor Relations Manager looking for a new challenge?!
In this role you will lead the financial communications function and ensure the effective communication between the Group, financial community and other relevant constituencies.
You will support the Director of External Affairs and align closely with the Communications team to ensure consistency of messaging through all channels.
Day to day
Strategy development and implementation:
Support the Group Treasurer, CFO and Director, External Affairs and Sustainability on the development and delivery of a corporate investor relations strategy
Devise, prepare and deliver appropriate financial and corporate communication programmes as required by the business to ensure corporate messages are cascaded with an effective impact and in a consistent manner to third party audiences.
The creation and maintenance of the investor relations sections on company websites.
Responsibility for leading and maintaining updates of Leadership sheets for all financial and business performance updates.
Sourcing and building content for investor materials.
Monitoring of financial media on competitors/regulators.
Annual report production and financial results communication:
Production of Annual Report, including briefing, planning, project management, obtaining appropriate reviews and approvals from senior partners, leading budget & time-line.
Devising and executing communications strategy for annual financial results, including media release production, briefings, and interviews.
Project management of Results Day
Developing and maintain a broad network of investor relations and media contacts.
Building and running an investor and financial media database.
Delivering events, briefings, and supporting private meetings with investors senior partners.
Responding to ad hoc financial media and investor relations queries.
Responsibility for communicating values to the community and third party partners to include but not limited to effectively publishing and maintaining communications for the Group’s Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility reporting.
Developing and executing corporate communications plans to support our external affairs priorities, particularly to achieve our objectives on Heathrow expansion, Air Passenger Duty and Brexit.
Educated to graduate level and/or a proven record of working in a busy/high profile press office
Solid corporate and financial communications experience is essential
Experience of building and executing high profile corporate / investor relations campaigns that influence the full complement of partners
Experience in a role which requires writing compelling content relevant for a business audience
Experience in delivering presentations and supporting senior leaders on presentation skills in terms of financial results
A confident self-starter with a proven ability to understand, analyse and articulate financial data
Good understanding of the media landscape and strong national business journalist contacts in the financial sector
Strong project management skills with a talent for multi-tasking and prioritising conflicting priorities and stakeholders
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen eye for detail
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build and nurture professional relationships internally and externally with the investor community
Proven negotiation skills and demonstrable gravitas, with the ability to ‘sell’ ideas where needed
Ability to look after confidential and sensitive issues
Ability to work as a great teammate
An understanding of public affairs and Government relations would be an advantage
