In a nutshell

We’re looking for an outstanding and passionate enterprise / corporate risk manager, to co-ordinate and lead our group corporate risk activity and take us to the next level in our enterprise risk journey.

In this role you’ll be responsible for developing, structuring and delivering a vision for corporate risk management, and implementing a corporate risk operating model, which improves the Group's risk capability at all levels across the organisation.

You will assist the Head of Internal Audit and the Audit Committee by facilitating the company’s corporate risk management processes, supporting the development and enhancement of controls, and by identifying opportunities for process and control improvements.

You will work closely with business units across the full spectrum of operations and finance to develop and implement risk roadmaps, and maintain and coordinate risk registers, heat maps and action plans at the Group level.

You will champion and increase awareness of good corporate risk governance across the Group, whilst building and maintaining strong and collaborative working relationships to promote, develop and embed risk management.

You will have strong influencing, persuasion and communication skills with a high degree of perseverance and resilience.

Stakeholder engagement, gravitas, pragmatism and the ability to concisely and incisively articulate risk will be essential to success, as this role will have significant exposure to Senior Leadership across the full gamut of group operations, including regular reporting to our executive leadership team and Audit Committee.

Day to day

Development and delivery of the Group Corporate Risk Management Roadmap

Support and evolve risk management processes within the airline which help achieve divisional plans and deliver key business initiatives

Facilitate a structured risk management process, including supporting activities such as frameworks, processes and appropriate reporting

Maintain the global Corporate Risk Management systems and processes, ensuring they are fit-for-purpose and kept up to date with regulatory developments.

Ensure each directorate has properly identified, quantified and managed its risks, flagging any concerns to the relevant LT member and Executive Risk Committee as appropriate.

Produce concise, accurate, timely and actionable risk reporting for each directorate, and regularly review the risk maps with each leadership team member and management team to ensure robust management of key directorate risks.

In conjunction with the Head of Internal Audit, assist the Main Board and Audit Committee by facilitating regular consideration of risk policies and risk appetite. Prepare risk reports for Audit Committee, Board, and Executive Risk Committee meetings.

Input to regular reporting requirements including the preparation of leadership team risk papers and annual report requirements.
